Online Transmission of Events

The audiovisual equipment available in the auditorium, meeting room, and classrooms is designed for plug-and-play ease of use. Simply connect an HDMI cable and, in some cases, an USB cable, to initiate the presentation.

ITU Support for Online Event Transmission

In spite of the easy of use of the available  audiovisual equipment,  the ITU provides  support for the online transmission of events held in the Auditorium, meeting room and classrooms. This includes setting up one computer and troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise. The ITU also coordinates with the Infrastructure Unit, which handles the mounting and unmounting of audiovisual equipment if needed. However, the ITU does not manage the presentations during the event.

Requesting ITU Support

Event organisers must submit requests for ITU support at least 30 days in advance of the event through:

Detailed information such as the specific day, time, and event format will be provided later through a dedicated web form. ITU will respond within 72 hours to confirm its availability on the requested date and time.

Uploading Presentations

Event organisers are responsible for uploading all presentations (PDF or PowerPoint) to a shared folder provided by the ITU team. The deadline for uploading is 30 minutes before the start of the event. It is recommended to upload the presentations as early as possible to allow for timely troubleshooting and resolution of any potential issues before the event commences.

Once the presentations are uploaded, the ITU team will copy them to the computer designated for the event and thoroughly check the files. 

A member of the ITU team will be present at the event's commencement and for the first five minutes to provide initial support if needed. If any technical problems arise during the event, organisers may contact the ITU team through the provided contact information. The ITU team will be on standby, unless otherwise specified, to assist with any technical difficulties that may arise.
